Everything you need to never miss a word
From recording to summary — one tool that replaces your voice recorder, transcriber and note taker.
One-tap recording
Record from your browser on desktop or phone with nothing to install. Your recording is kept even if the connection drops.
Live transcript
Text appears on screen as people speak, so you can follow along, quote and make sure everything was captured.
Hebrew and English, automatically
A Whisper model fine-tuned for Hebrew (ivrit.ai) alongside an English model — the language is detected for you.
Speaker identification
The transcript is split by speaker. Name each speaker once and the name follows them through the conversation.
Smart meeting summary
Overview, key points, decisions, action items per owner and speaking-time breakdown — ready to print as a PDF.
Zoom & Meet capture
Record the other participants of a video call together with your own microphone, straight from the meeting tab.
A bot that joins your meeting
Add your personal Maklit email address to a calendar invite and the bot joins the Google Meet and records it for you.
REST API & webhooks
Submit an audio URL with one REST call and get a speaker-labelled transcript and summary — by polling or via a signed webhook.
Install on your home screen
Install Maklit as an app on your phone and open straight to the recorder, like any other app.
How it works
Three steps from conversation to summary.
- 1
Record
Hit “Start recording” in your browser, on your phone or in a video call — or send the bot to the meeting.
- 2
Transcribe
The transcript appears live, and when you stop, an accurate full pass splits it by speaker.
- 3
Summarize & share
Get a summary with decisions and action items, name the speakers and export to PDF.
Your conversations stay yours
Transcription and speaker identification run on models we operate ourselves, and the audio never leaves our servers. To write the meeting summary, only the transcript text is sent to Anthropic's Claude, which does not train models on it and deletes it within 30 days.
- Transcription and speakers on open-source models on our servers

Frequently asked questions
What is Maklit?
Maklit is a web app for recording and transcribing meetings, calls and lectures. It transcribes Hebrew and English in real time, identifies the speakers and produces a meeting summary with decisions and action items.
How accurate is the Hebrew transcription?
Maklit uses a Whisper model fine-tuned specifically on Hebrew by the ivrit.ai project, which is considerably more accurate than general-purpose models. When a recording ends, a second, more accurate pass runs over the whole file.
Are my recordings sent to a third-party AI service?
The audio is not. Transcription and speaker identification run on open-source models we operate ourselves, and the recording itself never leaves our servers. To write the meeting summary, only the transcript text is sent to Anthropic's Claude, which does not train models on it and deletes it within 30 days.
Can I record a Zoom or Google Meet call?
Yes. While recording, share the meeting tab together with its audio and Maklit captures both the participants and your microphone. On plans that include the meeting bot, you can simply invite it to a Google Meet call.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Maklit works in the browser on desktop and mobile. You can also add it to your home screen and use it like an app.
How much does it cost?
There is a free plan so you can start right away, no credit card required. Higher plans add recording time, API access and the meeting bot — current details are in the plans table on this page.
Is it legal to record a conversation?
You are responsible for obtaining participants' consent to be recorded as required by the applicable law. We recommend always telling everyone at the start of a call that it is being recorded.
